My top three Sunday walks in Kent….

I don’t know if many of you live in or near Kent or have ever been for a visit but honestly I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the country.

We are blessed with lots of green and trees  and James and I have always made a point of going for a walk on a Sunday.

Before Erin we both worked in an office and while James still does, I think our little walks out together are good for both of us and now we have Erin, it’s some good family time for us all.

My first favourite place to go for a walk on a Sunday is Shorne Country Park this park is right on our doorstep, with miles of trails and off the lead allocated space for dogs it’s a lovely walk. There are 292 acres of woodland, wetlands and meadows and I love going there all year round but my favourite time is autumn in this park as everything is yellow and red and gives me all the cosy autumn feels.

My second favourite place for a Sunday stroll is Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest as well as having multiple lakes it also has large walkong trails, cycling trails and even horse riding areas. It’s so beautiful and recognised as one of the parks with a complete collection of conifers. It has over 12,000 species of tree some endangered and around 320 acres of land. Of course it is home to lots of wildlife and birds too.

And last but not least is one of my favourite coastal towns Broadstairs. The main beach pictured below is Viking bay and is one of my favourite sandy beaches in the area. The coastal town is full of pubs and restaurants and of course fish and chips on the beach. I think I prefer going for a walk here on a Sunday when it’s a bit windy and cold, there’s nothing like eating hot chips with loads of salt and vinegar wrapped up by the seaside.

Right I’m off to cook a roast, what are you doing with the rest of your Sunday??
