I have real trouble with my skin in the hot weather, I have big pores on my cheeks, chin and nose, so often find that my skin needs a lighter coverage.
These are the products I generally use throughout the year but the lighter BB cream and a pinker shade blush are for the summer months.
I get all of my make up on the high street, I have indulged in a few luxury brands here and there over the years but really don’t think you can beat these kinds of products for everyday use.
These are the best products for my skin in the hot weather, the pore eraser smooths my skin out and the bb cream is a light enough base to even out my complexion and cover any pimples that I have.
I use the angled kabuki brush with the setting powder just to set the bb cream in place and give my face a matte finish. This powder is very lightweight so won’t last you all day but it does the job and I think it is great for the hot weather as it doesnt settle into my pores.
Next I take on of my blusher brushes and just sweep a bit of the blush in pink rose over the apples of my cheeks, top of my forehead and use the the strobing stick for the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, cupids bow and under my eyebrows. The strobing stick I use is in the Light 100 shade as I have pale skin. It gives a real glow to your skin that we all associate with a summer complexion.
I have used the Rimmel Eyebrow pencil for as long as I can remember, the hazel colour really suits my colouring as I have quite dark hair and I love this revolution palette, I can create so many different looks with one product. I don’t tend to wear a lot of eye shadow for a daily look but I’m a big fan of the blush pink tones for a day look.
I’ve always loved a brown eyeliner, black always seems to look too harsh on my eyes and the brown just looks softer with my eye colour which if you have ever seen my insta, is a weird blue/grey/green hybrid. This mascara is one of the best I have used from Rimmel the brush is great and doesn’t seem to lay to much mascara on the lashes which means I can do a good two coats to get some proper definition.
Lips… you are all probably wondering, well I don’t tend to wear anything on them during the day unless I’m off out, out. I usually just wear a little bit of Vaseline to keep them from drying out.
What are your go to products for the summer months?
